Gwiffin's here
If you need a guy who knows a guy it's
crystal clear
He'll show up late, but there's no escape cuz
Gwiffin's here
Spouting gwisdoms, smoking bad pot
Have no fear
He'll take the fall, he's l ost it all - anyway
He spreads his wings and
Claws his way to second base but
He comes up short like
Everytime he comes up at all
Cabbage man
Does the best he can
Cabbage man
The kids won't understand
Gwiffin's here
Clogging up your podcast feed with
His trademark sneer
Because everything's too loud for our boy
Gwiffy Greer
Will he ever learn how to
Be sincere?
We don't think so but we love him - anyway
He spreads his wings and
Claws his way to second base but
He comes up short like
Everytime he comes up at all
Cabbage man
Does the best he can
Cabbage man
The kids won't understand
On your couch or
On the field he's
He's a real hoot
And we still believe
He spreads his wings and
Claws his way to second base but
He comes up short like
Everytime he comes up at all
Cabbage man
Does the best he can
Cabbage man
The kids won't understand

Mike Townsend is a dissapoint- no, that’s not right.
ah
i've an apology
i need to make to you
cause i just underestimated all that you could do
we can't know what you've got,
or what's coming next
i just can't wait to see you get into your eight-legged mech
and i admit i got a little caught up
cause after all, you didn't disappoint me that much
mike townsend was a credit to the team
like a laser beam
we fired at the sun
mike townsend was a credit to the team
you weren't a meme
when all was said and done
your redemption arc has come and gone
i made a mistake,
i downplayed your credentials,
i did not realise all of mike townsend's p-potential
and we can leave what's in the past,
as antecedent
cause i can't put your vibes down when they were "most excellent"
and i admit i got a little caught up
cause after all, you didn't disappoint me that much
mike townsend was a credit to the team
he had a theme
that goes like kinda, sorta, this one
mike townsend was a credit to the team
man of our dreams
y'know, he's gone and saved our girl
yeah, your redemption arc has come and gone!
Allison Here.
I think it was really easy to see Mike as a disappointment at first. Dude did really suck at pitching. And he lived in Bellevue, what a square! But every time he got up on the mound and threw what he called his “knuckleball” there was a joy to him. I think he rubbed off on all of us. Win or lose, he played to have fun, and that’s the Garages spirit distilled. He was the life of the party, the soul of our team, and just a good guy. Thanks for everything bud. We’re gonna miss ya, give em hell.
when the time comes round,
it's not an accident
that mike will be there with his mech gun pointed heaven-sent
and from his cockpit high, he will rain down blows
and if the gods survive is something only townsend knows
and i admit i got a little caught up
but, mike townsend was a credit to the team
it's not extreme
to say he'd beaten all the odds
mike townsend is a credit to the team
and i believe
he's gonna end all of the gods
He’s a dissapointment
He’s a credit to the team
There’s a coldness in his blood
And he knows what that means
Mike Townsend knows what he’s gotta do
yeah, his redemption arc has come and gone!

i think he's gonna choke
when he steps up to the plate
i think he's gonna lay face down
when the Magic put him in his place
but then the Blood Drain gurgled (yeah)
and the world went quiet (yeah)
and his arms felt different (yeah)
and the Lang Gang came alive:
"yeah! he's better than he was now!
yeah! he's got Yeong-Ho's better blood now!
yeah! he's gonna take it to the blood bank!
yeah! he's gonna show the league his new strength!"
and then the Blood Drain gurgled (yeah)
and he took his little sippy (yeah)
but it tastes so dirty (yeah)
yeah the Blood Drain killed his vibe
he's got better blood
and he's up for bat

A thousand miles down and a thousand to go
In this place that she now calls a home
Ripped away from her friends when she was meant to ascend
With her lungs full of ash and just burnmarks to show
Taking one for the team
Has never cut so deep
But now she's back on the field
Sparks dance round her eyes
She's ready to pay the price
Making the most of her borrowed time
There she goes again, with that flickering smile
The unstable ace, steady toeing the line
Now she's back with her friends, bound to them til the end
With Mikeyboy in her heart and pitches to throw
She's checking her pulse for the last time tonight
Walks up to the mound, sees the fear in their eyes
Spins the ball in her hand, ready to make this right
The debt must be paid, for her team and for Mike
Taking one for the team
Has never cut so deep
But now she's back on the field
Sparks dance round her eyes
She's ready to pay the price
Making the most of her borrowed time

I’ll never forget Jaylen Hotdogfingers
Whistleblower and the greatest mayor
We’ll never forget number 46
She didn’t deserve to go out like this
It is open, the book is open
And all that’s left is an empty heart shaped hot dog.
It is open, the book is open
And all that’s left is an empty heart shaped hot dog.
It is open, the book is open
And all that’s left is an empty heart shaped hot dog.
It is open, the book is open
And all that’s left is an empty heart shaped hot dog.
She didn’t get to make it to the playoffs
She didn’t get to make it to the playoffs
we just gotta make it to the playoffs.
we just gotta make it to the playoffs.
It is open, the book is open
And all that’s left is an empty heart shaped hot dog.
It is open, the book is open
And all that’s left is an empty heart shaped hot dog.
It is open, the book is open
And all that’s left is an empty heart shaped hot dog.
It is open, the book is open
And all that’s left is an empty heart shaped hot dog.

Theodore Duendes the perfect captain
Solid fundamentals and a great friend
We need more sluggers like him and Allison Abbott
We need less people like Mike Townsend
We’ve got Luis Acevedo
The best vocaloid in the league
But I’ll get to that later
We’ve got gwiff now and gwiff never wiffs
I think he’s at least half owl; it’s unclear
But we’ve got luis acevedo
The only vocaloid who can also thwack
When they’re at bat they bellow
This next runs for hotdogfingers
A victim of eldricth circumstance
If she lived to see our new pitcher
This next ground outs for mike Townsend
We’re going to win in spite of you
If we don’t win that’s totally ok, cuz you know we’re gonna pa pa pa pa
Park it
Park it
Park it
Park it
Theodore duendes got the formula
That’s why they call blaseball the sweet science
He just walks up to the plate and says “soundgarden is pretty good,
But they’re far from the best band out of Seattle”
“Have you heard of this band Weep Wave?
I’ll make you a mixtape after this”
Then he hits a grand slam
This next runs for hotdogfingers
A victim of eldricth circumstance
If she lived to see our new pitcher
This next ground outs for mike Townsend
We’re going to win in spite of you
Out of the way, it’s duendesday season
I know we’re anticapitalist
But tianna cash didn’t have to die
She was literally made of money
Though I’m sure it informed her politics so for her we will just pa pa pa pa
Park it
Park it
Park it

i'm riding in the front seat of a train car
hurtling towards the heavens
and i'm gonna catch you alone
and i got my bag packed, and it's full of stuff
that i can then use when i fight them off
and i'm gonna catch you alone
when i look you in the eyes
i will start to realise
you're pathetic, in the worst ways
you're spineless, like on most days
when i look you in the eyes
i will start to realise
you're not going anywhere, going anywhere
when you go to fight gods
but none of them live up to it
and all of them give up, does that
make you feel better?
when you go to fight gods
but none of them meet your eyeline
does that make you feel fine,
or are you disappointed?
no one you look up to is better than you are
i'm riding in the front seat of a train car
listening to songs on the radio that will hype me up
to take you on, or take you down
but it's somewhere between track 6 and 7
that i realise that when i get up to heaven
i'm gonna make you cry without lifting a finger

Sometimes a barista grows up to join a blaseball team
And some times the barista falls in love… with that blaseball team
And some times she grows up in a city with everything she needs
But maybe this city’s just not for me
I’ve rode to the top of space needle like 60 times
And smashedstarbucks windows more than that
Dated a few too many people, lost my heart and then some more
I gotta go get gone gotta get to a get away
My ships leaving the puget sound as I cruise on down to florida now
But I hope you all are there to see me off
And I know I wont see you every day and thats pretty scary but it’s okay
We’ll see eachother soon at the play offs
Empty bowls and hand washed plates and 14 smiles and birthday cakes
These memories I’ll always carry with me
Chewing gum, and bad advice, too many exes I thought were nice
Hoping these dark things don’t know how to swim
Thank you to the band for helping me find my voice
And thank you to the team that taught me strength
Touring in that van has shown me the whole world but
A tour’s Transient treats tend to be temporary
My ships leaving the puget sound as I cruise on down to florida now
But I hope you all are there to see me off
And I know I wont see you every day and thats pretty scary but it’s okay
We’ll see eachother soon at the play offs
Oh I know I don’t have to go
But with my roots here there’s not where left to grow
And I know, we cannot always be together
But when you see me catch that flyball know that I would never be here without you
My ships leaving the puget sound as I cruise on down to florida now
But I hope you all are there to see me off
And I know you wont see me every day and thats pretty scary but it’s okay
We’ll see eachother soon at the play offs
We’ll see eachother soon at the play offs

Kichiro, I love you
Yeah you take my breath away
And your smile just melts right through me
Wanna see it every day
Got so many things to ask you
like is anime a splort
but the only time we meet is at the court
Your team is so lucky to have you
yeah you’re San Franciscos star
But at times like these Seattle seems so far
I love you, I need you
I just wanna breathe you
They fight us, they kill us
The umpires grill us
But we love and we fight
‘til the end of the night
And you’re here, and I’m here
That’s all clear, that’s all clear
Kichiro, I love you
But I wonder for how long
Maybe you’ll disappear like Cash did
Maybe I’m the one who gets gone
Give me a reason
and I’ll start to pack my bags
I will move to San Francisco just like that
Maybe I’m dreaming
But I’ll be there by your side
Yeah I think that’s what I’ll do if we’re alive
I love you, I need you
I just wanna breathe you
They fight us, they kill us
The umpires grill us
But we love, and we fight
‘til the end of the night
and you’re here, and I’m here
That’s all clear, that’s all clear
As the sun will die
Dreams of you and I
As the sun will die
Dreams of you and I
and the moon will fry
Dreams of you and I

mike townsend has to get out of bed
mike townsend's got the voice in his head
and he can't remove the heavy feeling
and it persists through the morning commute
he's running late, so he texts "i'm en route"
but he can't remove the heavy feeling
and it's the coffee with one sugar
but he wonders where they took her
and the radio comes on and he cannot help but to hear
"they found a way to get her from the shadows,
but we need someone to go to where the map shows"
mike townsend knows what he's gotta do
"if you need respect, then you might just earn some,
it's a journey you might not return from"
mike townsend knows what he's gotta do
the radio's blasting and he's singing along
mike townsend hears his favourite song
but he can't remove the heavy feeling
the static hits when he's nearly there
the null mixing with the waves in the air
and he can't remove the heavy feeling
he downs the coffee with one sugar
and still he wonders where they took her
and the radio comes on and he cannot help but to hear
his hand is hovering at the gate now,
and he's trying to think of a way out,
but he closes his eyes and talks to himself in his head
"they found a way to get her from the shadows,
but they need someone to go to where the map shows,
i'm mike townsend, and i know what to do.
i need respect, and i just might earn some
it's a journey i might not return from,
i'm mike townsend, and i know what to do.
there's a chance that this is the end,
but i know i have to do it if it saves my friend,
i'm mike townsend, and i know what to do.
i can feel my spirit is leaving me,
but i get power from the team, cause they believe in me,
i'm mike townsend, and i know what to do,
i'm a disappointment, i'm a credit to the team,
there's a coldness in my blood, and i know what that means,
i'm mike townsend, and i know what to do

we’ve got bad vibes! 1, 2, 3,
lang and ollie on first and second and i’m feeling quite upset
‘cause kichiro just messaged me and she’s playing hard to get
i’vee got a bad hangover and bloodshot eyes
and so i strike out looking under pitch-dark skies
know we need a hit, but i can’t deal with it
with my bad vibes, my bad vibes,
my bad bad bad bad bad
now i’m in the outfield and i’m looking quite perplexed
‘cause avila’s in miami and she doesn’t even text
it’s like we had a breakup and i’m feeling the fatigue
and suddenly my team is ranked the lowest in the league
and if we had the playoffs, i’d tell the gods to [REDACTED]
with my bad, my bad bad bad bad bad bad vibes
good night seattle

You're gonna light us on fire
And expect nothing to happen
Like it doesn't matter
That's not the way this works
You can't just lift the ones we love
Away from us
Like it doesn't matter
Cause then we get angry
And everyone you know
Is going to feel it
And we will find a way to take the
Stairs to up above
And we won't talk of love
We're gonna get violent
We're gonna fight gods, fight gods
We're gonna fight gods, fight gods
And we're gonna win
We're gonna fight gods, fight gods
We're gonna fight gods, fight gods
And we're gonna win
And our redemption arc is coming up
Yeah, I bet you feel frightened
You feel it coming like a wave
A million droplets
Making up an ocean
You know what would be fun?
If we put out the sun
We're coming to get you
Cause now that we're angry
Everyone you know
Is going to feel it
And we will find a way to get the
Train up to the sky
Cause we're not asking "Why?"
We're asking for Jaylen!
We're gonna fight gods, fight gods
We're gonna fight gods, fight gods
And we're gonna win
We're gonna fight gods, fight gods
We're gonna fight gods, fight gods
And we're gonna win
And our redemption arc is coming…
And our redemption arc has gone…
