French c’est toi et moi nous resterons après la tombée du jour, quand la deuxième partie commencera mais quand cette partie sera terminé et que la foule nous aura quittés qu’est-ce que nous trouverons sur le terrain il y a d'innombrables choses qui voudraient nous séparer mais je vais jouer jusqu’à ce que nous trouvions notre liberté les dieux ne décideront pas ce qui nous arrivera l’avenir sera plus beau qu’ils ne peuvent imaginer quand cette partie sera terminé et que la foule nous aura quittés qu’est-ce que nous trouverons sur le terrain il y a d'innombrables choses qui voudraient nous séparer mais je vais jouer jusqu’à ce que nous trouvions notre liberté English it’s us alone left standing tall, after the fall of the sun, now the second game has just begun but when we come to the end of this game and the crowd leaves us behind when we step on the field what will we find countless forces stand against us the universe wants us apart so it’s time to start we’ll play until we’re all free of this game the gods don’t get to decide what happens if we live or die we’ll make tomorrow more beautiful than they could describe when we come to the end of this game and the crowd leaves us behind when we step on the field what will we find countless forces stand against us the universe wants us apart so it’s time to start we’ll play until we’re all free of this game

out of mind 04:53
so many fires we keep putting out there’s always something new and i know i won’t be standing out if there’s something more important to do but i’m right there, right there in your face lead batter, out of place swinging, just swinging, hoping to make contact and if i do, i rarely make an impact i guess i’m not on your mind but i’m out of my mind for you just need to unwind i’m having trouble finding you i know you’re not disinclined you’re having trouble finding me but you’re lost in the grind you barely have time for me and if you just leave me here well, i guess that’s okay with me but why would anyone ever cheer for someone they can’t see? ‘til then i’m running, running from base to base star pitcher, but out of place so i’ll hit the ball, as far as i possibly can out of sight, exactly how i am i’m not on your mind but i’m out of my mind for you i guess we’re misaligned i’m having trouble finding you you respond in kind having trouble finding me i know i’m falling behind but you’re always behind me
5.
I step up to the plate where they used to be big shoes to fill, never meant for me I hit a dinger against the Steaks and they stare at me like I made a mistake always first up, I’m always first out to the noise of the exasperated crowd maybe I suck but at least I suck out loud and they said, ‘you're not very strong, you're not very tall’ ‘you've got a big heart, but you can't play ball’ maybe I’m not a credit to your team it's not my choice so it's not my dream 'you're holding me back, praying that you feedback' I told the gods, and they didn't give a damn so am I good enough now? when will I be good enough for you? couldn't hit the ball so I hit the bricks landed in Charleston, got some brand new kicks now I put my jacket on, got some friends along guess I'm here but I don't know for how long ‘cause there's still this voice in my head saying all good things must come to an end well, if I’m good, we’ll know when I’m dead and they said, ‘you're not very strong, you're not very tall’ ‘you've got a big heart, but you can't play ball’ maybe I’m not a credit to your team it's not my choice so it's not my dream 'you're holding me back, praying that you feedback' I told the gods, and they didn't give a damn so am I good enough now? when will I be good enough for you? my day came and I took the fall caught up with some old friends down in the hall but the cold flame could never touch me they locked the door but I found my own key send the squid my regards I'll see you again when it's in the cards but until then this is my fresh start ‘cause they said, ‘you're not very strong, you're not very tall’ ‘you've got a big heart, but you can't play ball’ maybe I’m not a credit to your team it's not my choice so it's not my dream I know my place but it's not where I'll be you can set me ablaze but you can't get rid of me so tell me, is that good enough now? maybe I'm good enough for me
6.
was a deep dark night when I took a left when I should’ve taken a right, and I ended up at a crossroads, not the Hall of Flame, out of the shadows a figure deft, the very personification of theft, in a three piece suit says “This ain’t the usual name of the game, got an offer here, you can’t refuse”, they roll out their scroll, quite bemused, and before I know it, my hand has already signed, “Most folks come to me to improve their sound, let’s try something else this time around”, So we join the living 'n leave this joint behind I’m back in the game and playing good, if my luck holds, 1, 2, 3, knock on wood, I’ll be MVP five times in a row, them balls I throw are streakin’ hot, before too long everyone's forgot, that I was deader'n a doornail and now I'm showered in gold a bit later I realize, it was as my friends theorized, my pitches are makin' a killin' in more ways than one, I tell Three-Piece that I want out, they says "I can't bring that about, come back when you’ve stopped a few more of those runs” several more folks burnt to a crisp, nothing more left than a wisp, and I try to break that cursed pitchin’ arm, just when I try to yank away, the rest of my body disobeys, three-Piece, grinning, says “Don’t you do no harm” let me out! I don’t wanna do this no more! But I can’t seem to find a door, that don’t lead to that bedeviled pitcher’s mound, my feet walk on of their own accord, all my protests deftly ignored, my cries smothered afore I can make a sound I try my very best to resist, but even then I can’t desist, from fielding a couple horsemen that doomsday, then the last of my resolve is broken, when that confounded word is spoken, by the Ump: “PLAY.” when I get off the field, there freshly sewn, a three-piece suit, all of my own, I put it on while felling a single tear, since then not a tear’s been shed, I’ve won the rat race, miles ahead, and if we’re being honest here? I’ve been dead all these years
7.
Is this worth crying for? Is stepping up to bat worth dying for? I’m burnt out I’m losing steam, And I’ve given all I have to this losing team. And I’m drowning in the flood And the feedback’s ringing in my ear And I wanna give it up But through the noise I can hear the crowd cheer Hold on now, keep your head up Hold on now, just a few more games Hold on now, don’t you let up Hold on, you’ll live to play again The gods don’t believe in me I’d kill them if I only had the energy It’s just a game to them I’ll never be more than just a name to them But I’m drowning in the flood And the feedback’s ringing in my ear And I wanna give it up But through the noise I can hear the crowd cheer Hold on now, keep your head up Hold on now, just a few more games Hold on now, don’t you let up Hold on, you’ll live to play again They say “do what you love, You’ll never work a day in your life” But I’ll tell you, that’s a lie. And I’ll tell you, I don’t wanna die. I don’t wanna die And I’m drowning in the flood And the feedback’s ringing in my ear And I wanna give it up But through the noise I can hear the crowd cheer Hear the crowd cheer Hold on now, keep your head up Hold on now, just a few more games Hold on now, don’t you let up Hold on, you’ll live to play again Hold on now, keep your head up Hold on now, just a few more games Hold on now, don’t you let up Hold on, you’ll live to play again Hold on now, keep your head up Hold on now, just a few more games Hold on now, don’t you let up Hold on, you’ll live to play again Live to play again

Sun 2 goes down on the Big Garage it’s a quiet time around the planes it’s siesta and there’s no show tonight just a duet between the roof and the rain the psychospeakers all have their gain turned way down low the bleachers stand waiting for a crowd whether for a concert or a game or a punk show The Garage loves it all and loves it loud but when we’re gone do these walls sing along to the chants and the dirges and the songs? does the stage miss us when we’re at a touring gig could we see tears falling from the light rig does the Big Garage miss us like we miss it when we’re gone does the Big Garage cry with us when everything goes wrong is the Big Garage proud of us when we kill a pantheon does it still love us when we suck? does it still love us when we suck? even though Jaylen’s been alive a while again i still don’t think we need to change the name i think the big block letters serve a good reminder of the consequences we face in this game does the Big Garage miss us like we miss it when we’re gone does the Big Garage cry with us when everything goes wrong is the Big Garage proud of us when we kill a pantheon does it still love us when we suck? does it still love us when we suck? the corporations ask if they can sponsor us so they can put their stupid ads up on our stands to take the place of posters and queer pride flags but they can’t buy our flags or our band but when we’re gone do these walls sing along to the chants and the dirges and the songs? does the stage miss us when we’re at a touring gig could we see tears falling from the light rig does the Big Garage miss us like we miss it when we’re gone does the Big Garage cry with us when everything goes wrong is the Big Garage proud of us when we kill a pantheon does it still love us when we suck? Does it still love us when we suck? does the Big Garage miss us like we miss it when we’re gone does the Big Garage cry with us when everything goes wrong is the Big Garage proud of us when we kill a pantheon does it still love us when we suck? does it still love us when we suck?

I stare down the batter I swear to the gods I can see his soul it’s like looking a mirror, his eyes are mine and that’s too much like looking back the pitch ignites as it leaves my hand double strike, double strike, the ghost is gone another echo smashed without answer no reflection, I am a vampire death to those who dare to oppose me I am an engine of loss, that’s why they chose me hear them chanting my name to the stars, oh what friends will I have left tomorrow? I keep winning, I, I keep winning I can’t stop, I can’t stop or they’ll catch me the demons in my sleep I stay winning, I, I keep winning I can’t stop, I won’t stop no mercy for the Mediocrity at the very first light I am on the mound I’m alright, I’m alright, i just need to get on it’s either this, or I’m lying awake in bed cause you’re alone when nothing impresses the dead there’s something they all get, I can’t see it if I’m working alone, then so be it it doesn’t matter if I’m selling my soul to this ball it beats the hell out of not being noticed at all I keep winning, I, I keep winning I can’t stop, I can’t stop or they’ll catch me the demons in my sleep I stay winning, I, I keep winning I can’t stop, I won’t stop no mercy for the Mediocrity (it’s a long way home) for the Mediocrity (it’s a long way home) I can’t look in the mirror I can’t stand the fear on the face inside I can’t even relish my teammates’ success I’m jealous as hell of their progress, ‘cause if you don’t praise me or fear me, then I don’t know what you are to me I bleed winning, I, I need winning I can’t stop, I can’t stop or I’ll catch me the one thing I can’t beat I stay winning, I, I keep winning I can’t stop, I won’t stop no mercy for the Mediocrity (it’s a long way home) x4

the only thing that I know for sure is that I’ll be a lover no more I said I’d buy you a palace you said you’re moving to Dallas I said that’s too far just by a hair but you stayed my lover from there you said there’s never goodbye-o and I up and left for Ohio I had said that’s too far, you said don’t fear and I stayed your lover from here but I’ll be a lover no more no more I’ll be a lover no more the only thing that I know for sure is that I’ll be a lover no more it’s ashes to ashes and dust to dust feed my body to worms and your nails to rust the only future that I can trust is that I’ll be a lover no more I’m not who I was when we started the girl who you knew has departed my body went roamin’, my heart stayed pure and I stayed your lover for sure I said that we shouldn’t tarry you said you wanted to marry I said the future won’t stay the same and everything ended in flame now I’ll be a lover no more no more I’ll be a lover no more the only thing that I know for sure is that I’ll be a lover no more well, it’s ashes to ashes and dust to dust feed my body to worms and your nails to rust the only future that I can trust is that I’ll be a lover no more they said that times were a-changin’ the boss said she was rearrangin’ they paid us in peanuts, she changed the lid but everything tastes like it did we said to stop all the violence she only answered in silence we asked for answers, she ran and hid and everything looks like it did well, it’s ashes to ashes and dust to dust feed my body to worms and your nails to rust the only future that I can trust is that I’ll be a Lover no more oh, I’ll be a Lover no more no more I’ll be a Lover no more the only future I know for sure is that I’ll be a Lover no more

morning all, it’s a new day on the field with the Garages up to bat which means that we’ll be putting on quite a show let’s play ball, it’s the only thing that’s real besides the fact that we are going to lose but hey, we all already know let’s roll call, we’ve got mediocre batters and a rotation the size of a small nation, we’ve got some room to grow overall yeah we could be doing better ‘cause we’re twenty-four points in the hole and we’ve got some more innings to go we play pretty terribly but we always could be worse even when we win by being last we still don’t come in first we are constantly in flux swapping our bandmates around our team’s not used to looking up we’re all just upside down we play bad which means we are good at losing but when the rules said we win by losing we weren’t good enough, so we lost might I add that not by our own choosing we’re the bottom of the league one season and the next one we’re at the top mild nomads, yeah we wander through the standings with no rhyme or reason, we’re just breezing through the wrong wills that we just got scouts in plaid, yeah we soldier through the seasons but I guess it’s better to never win than it is to be forgot we play pretty terribly, but we always could be worse even when we win by being last, we still don’t come in first we are constantly in flux, swapping our bandmates around our team’s not used to looking up, we’re all just upside down we play pretty terribly but we always could be worse (we play pretty bad) even when we win by being last we still don’t come in first (we really suck ass) first-rate shark bait, we can’t wait to disappoint our fans but hey, you knew what you signed up for when you joined the band

the sun, or at least whatever the sun is now is rising and the moon, or whatever rock that is falls beyond the horizon and the sunlight hits the pitches and stands, players and fans in the immaterial plane and the fans, they pray, to the gods that the players they love don't end up in flames my body, is wrapped in layers of sawdust and linen they said, i was medically dead but somehow i'm still alive my family, said that royalty shouldn't play blaseball, it is forbidden but i was young, and didn't think that all my friends and family would die now it's been a couple thousand years and blaseball's all i know i've been looking in the eyes of gods, ever since the fall of rome and maybe there's a chance, that it'll all end up some day but from thirteen hundred bc to now, all we know to do is play and i'll buy a bass guitar get in a plane and go real far settle down in the seattle in america land of the free, that's where i'll be i'll stand up proud on top of the mound hear the crowd make sound and hope to the gods that it defends out my thoughts i'm getting, a little bit old and little bit tired of this it seems, that the thousands of years i've run from has caught up to me it's hard, to play blaseball when you're easily soggable or flammable i should have died, long ago, before mobile phones and roads, but i guess i'll never be free cuz i'm stuck inside of a box of my own making i should've died in 1325 bc as a king whenever i think to leave, the gods just hold me back they wave my contract in front of my eyes, they tell me the only way out is to die and i know that is still a lie, cuz apparenlty people can be revived and i cannot leave this unholy place, people running from base to base people catching, dying, burning, crying, drowning, disintergrating but from thirteen hundred bc to now, all we know to do is play
