lyrics

The Talkers look up at their sun
Rather, what sun is still visible
It's a dark day here, and they know it won't stop for anything
And as the Tigers walk up to the field
With two of them struck by a payment of some sort
They won't have any words for an "are you okay?"
Though they know what their answer will be

The game has begun
And the cheering and chanting falls on deaf ears
Maybe one of them has scored by this point
But that moment's been lost on them
The numbers don't matter now
All that matters is leaving
The dread sinks in even deeper
There was never any going back

It strikes them all at once
As their captain flickers in the moment
A voice is heard in a distant flash of lightning
And it's even more strained than before
The spirit of Violence has followed them all the way to here
He knows what's about to happen
And he's telling them to wake up

But the Gods have already sent down their angels
And their eyes glow white as they descend
These monsters have found a new purpose
And it's to prey on instability
A force of nature beyond comprehension has taken over this game
The brightest light on the darkest day
There's no fighting it now
