lyrics

Well this used to be a simple game,
Hit the ball, run the bases, all the same,
Fighting to win, but good spirits all round,
Get to the top, with our signature sound,

But then that ease was quickly shook,
We should've stopped, but had to look
Curiosity overtook,
We opened the book

It used to be so easy before,
Now it's pain and fire, not easy no more
The blaseball gloves lie still and charred,
This simple game, just keeps on getting hard

We lost so many, it's been so long,
But we won't stop, no matter what goes wrong,
We'll push and push until the spill
They'll never break, our undying will

And though our future is unclear,
We think of those that we held dear,
Unto the gods, their names we'll sear,
We didn't all make it here

And now the gods have come to wage their war,
But we'll fight like we've never fought before,
For those we've lost, we know we must endure,
We'll make this game a simple game once more.
